Concept artist 

A concept artist has a responsibility for visualising and creating art for things such as characters or creatures in books and comics, or other medias before it is put into the final product.

It's important that a concept artist has artistic skills (such as understanding the fundamentals of drawing, proportions and shapes). They also have to be creative and able to create art from a simple brief or their own imagination. Concept artists  have to work with writers and directors in order to have an idea of what they would like the outcome of their project to be  be.​

Graphic designers 

A graphic designers key responsibility is to create visual concepts to communicate information. The advertisements for the movies are very important and should attract an audience. Graphic designers will work with the creative team such as the director but also with the administrative side of the film and even companies using the product outside of the film industry, such as theme parks because they need to ensure that they know who their target audience is.​  And to make sure the costumes don't clash with the graphic design it's important that they work together.

SFX makeup artist

A special effects makeup artists uses makeup to create gory frighting looks, injuries or to completely transform an actor's appearance to look more like a character they are playing. Key skills needed for this job role include designing skills. They must be good at working with their hands and have a creative flair. In Harry Potter, special effects makeup was used a lot especially because it was set in a world of magic with mystical creatures. SFX makeup artist will have to work with other departments such as costume and wigs so that the characters final look works. Also, they will have to work with the director to understand the overall concept of the project. ​
