The Escape Room Project
The escape room project was a collaborative immersive theatre project that allowed for creative production an opportunity to work together. The job roles that we had were set construction, lighting designer, LX, sound, stage managers and production managers. For this project I was working in hair, makeup and costume.
What is immersive theatre? It's a form of theatre that removes the stage element from performance and creates an engaging experience for the audience. It allows for the audience to be able to communicate with the actors in specific locations.
For this project I worked in Hair, Makeup and Costume. This role was very crucial for this project because we had a 1920's theme and wanted our escape room to be as authentic as possible to that decade, especially because the looks were very distinctive.

A Makeup Artist is someone who enhances facial aesthetics using makeup, creating custom looks and works with actors on movie and theatre sets.

Hair Stylist is someone who focuses on the actual styling of the hair such as using curlers, hair products and hair accessories to create looks for projects, film and theatres,

Costume/ Wardrobe Management rather than designing and making costumes for this assignment, like how I did with the previous projects, the costumes were hired and I had to decide which would be suitable for which character.
